KARACHI: A water tank blast was reported at Askari Bank branch in Paposh Nagar area of Karachi on Friday.
According to the details, there have been no reported casualties from the blast as the bank was closed on account of the public holiday on 25th December.
Police and rangers officials arrived at the Askari Bank branch located at Paposh Nagar area of Karachi shortly after the water tank blast took place and cordoned off the area.

According to the SSP Murtaza Tabassum, the blast occurred inside the bank and caused extensive damage. “The bank’s shutters, a vehicle and two motorcycles were damaged due to the blast intensity.” he said according to Geo News.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) also reached the scene to determine the exact cause of the explosion and their initial investigation suggested that a water tank exploded inside the Karachi bank due to a malfunction.
