During 2024 WEF, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and World Economic Forum (WEF) have entered into a landmark partnership by signing an agreement. The collaboration seeks to create a state-of-the art digital platform “We the UAE for Strategic Intelligence 2031” powered by AI featuring global knowledge resources and experts.
This unique platform works as a strategic specialist knowledge base for policymakers, strategists, and government leaders in the UAE. In line with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision, it concentrates on priority sectors to support better decision-making and strategic planning.
The accord was signed in the presence of Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the WEF. The partnership was formalized by Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, and Stephan Mergenthaler, Head of Strategic Intelligence at WEF.
Al Hashimi emphasized the UAE’s commitment to flexibility, future readiness, and proactive strategy development. She noted that the initiative signifies the advanced strategic relationship between the UAE government and the WEF, aspiring for global excellence in foresight and strategic thinking.
The platform’s purpose extends to supporting policymakers and governmental strategies in realizing the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision. It establishes a national and global strategic network, facilitating collaboration among elite leaders and experts to find solutions, leverage opportunities, and exchange knowledge.
Professor Klaus Schwab stressed the need for trust and cooperation in addressing global challenges, expressing pride in the collaborative efforts between WEF and the UAE. He highlighted the diverse initiatives, from food innovation to enhancing government services, as contributions toward building a more promising future.
The platform’s significance lies in its role in achieving the targets set by the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision. Utilizing AI, it integrates global resources and insights from over 2,500 international experts and 450 global sources. Equipped with AI technology, the platform offers rapid and accurate analyses, providing decision-makers with interactive multidimensional analytical maps, summaries of research, studies, and strategic trends.
In essence, the collaboration between the UAE and WEF aims to pioneer a new era of strategic design and intelligence, leveraging AI and global expertise to navigate challenges and shape a forward-looking future.
