As the third monsoon spell enters the port city there is expected to be heavy rain in Karachi along with thunderstorms starting 25 July according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met Department).
The rain spell in Karachi is expected to enter Pakistan from Indian Rann of Kutch in India’s Gujrat leading to rain in not just the port city but other parts of Sindh as well making the improving the hot and humid weather in Karachi and other parts of the province.
The first monsoon spell hit Karachi on 7 July leading to devastating rain and thunderstorms causing damage to not only infrastructure property but most unfortunate was the loss of human life as at least six people were reported to have died during the rain spell.

The second spell of the monsoon rain hit Karachi on 18 July and at least two people died due to electrocution and accidents like damages to buildings leading to roofs collapsing on the residents.
Not only that but the city remained without power in most parts as K-Electric failed to cope with the heavy rainfall even after their claims of maintenance for the monsoon spell.
