The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) anticipates cold and dry weather for Karachi, Hyderabad, and the majority of Sindh on Thursday (February 8), coinciding with Election Day 2024. The synoptic situation reveals the prevalence of continental air over most parts of Pakistan.
In line with these conditions, Karachi, Hyderabad, and various parts of the province can expect mainly cold and dry weather on Wednesday evening/night, Thursday (Election Day), and Friday.
Specifically, in Karachi, the minimum temperature is projected to range between 17-19 degrees Celsius on both Thursday and Friday. In Hyderabad, the minimum temperature is expected to remain between 13-15 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.
Over the past 24 hours, most parts of the province experienced cold and dry weather, with Mohenjo-Daro being the coldest place where the mercury dropped to 08 degrees Celsius. Morning relative humidity was recorded at 76 percent in Mohenjo-Daro.
In Karachi, the minimum temperature recorded was 17 degrees Celsius, with a morning relative humidity of 81 percent. In Hyderabad, the minimum temperature was 16 degrees Celsius, with a morning relative humidity of 61 percent.
