The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) latest weather update predicts rain and thunderstorms in Lahore and other parts of Punjab on Saturday.
According to the PMD, a low-pressure system is present over the north Arabian Sea and the nearby southeast region of Sindh. It is expected to stay for the next 24 to 30 hours. Meanwhile, weak monsoon winds are moving into the upper and central parts of the country. Furthermore, a westerly weather system is impacting the northern regions.

Rain-wind/thundershower is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Narowal, Sialkot, Wazirabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Layyah, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Lahore, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan and Sahiwal. While, heavy falls is also likely in Gujranwala, Gujrat, Narowal, Sialkot, Wazirabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Lahore during the period.

In Punjab, the highest maximum temperature recorded was 42.1°C in Khanpur, while the lowest minimum temperature was 17.5°C in Murree. In Kashmir, Muzaffarabad City experienced the highest maximum temperature of 42.0°C, and Rawalakot had the lowest minimum temperature of 14.0°C.
