The Regional Meteorological Center in Lahore has issued a weather update indicating that continental air is dominating most parts of the country. A high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere is expected to persist over the next few days, leading to continued hot and dry conditions.
Thursday’s Weather Forecast – May 23, 2024
The forecast for Thursday predicts mainly very hot weather across most districts of Punjab, including Lahore, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad, and Sialkot. Regions including Kashmir, Murree, and Galliyat will also experience hot and dry weather. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain significantly above normal, with increases ranging from 4 to 6°C.

In the past 24 hours, the weather has remained hot and dry throughout Kashmir and all districts of Punjab. There was no rainfall recorded in these areas during this period.
Temperature Extremes Over the Last 24 Hours
In Punjab, the highest maximum temperature was recorded at Kot Addu, reaching a scorching 46.5°C. The lowest minimum temperature was observed in Murree at 17.0°C. In Kashmir, Muzaffarabad city recorded the highest maximum temperature at 41.0°C, while Rawalakot had the lowest minimum temperature at 13.5°C.
