WEATHER UPDATE: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday said that there was no more chance of rain in Karachi today.
In a statement issued by the Met Office, the weather will remain very cold and dry in most parts of the country with dense fog to prevail in upper Sindh and plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the night.
As for Karachi, the weather will remain cold and cloudy over the next 24 hours but there is no chance of rain in the port city today.
The Met Office said the temperature in Karachi could drop to a low of 12-14 degrees Celsius on Wednesday while the lowest temperature in the port city was recorded at 15 degrees Celsius on Tuesday with humidity at 71%.
Karachi also broke its 13-year-old record for the coldest winter morning on Monday when the temperature was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius with the maximum temperature recorded at 19.6 degrees Celsius in 2008.
The Met Office also said that the country is expected to receive heavy rain from January 2022 as rain and snowfall producing systems keep entering Pakistan.
