WEATHER UPDATE: Rain in Karachi is expected to continue till Wednesday along with other parts of Sindh leading to urban flooding and water logging according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
According to the Met Department, rain in Karachi is expected to continue till Wednesday along with other parts of Sindh including Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Tharparker, Nagarparker, Mirpurkhas, Islam Kot, Umar Kot, Sanghar, Sukkur and Larkana.

The heavy rain may generate urban flooding in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta and Badin from Monday to Tuesday. Heavy downpour may generate flash flooding in hill torrents of Kalat, Khuzdar and Lasbella during the period as stated by the Met Office.
All concerned authorities have been advised to remain alert and make appropriate preparations to avoid loss of life and damage to public and private property.
Several lives have been lost in Karachi due to rain related incidents such as electrocution. Two teenagers also lost their lives during the previous spell of rain in Karachi after being hit by lightning while a teenager was reportedly swept away due to heavy currents of Lyari River.
