Rain and wind thunderstorms are expected in upper parts of the country from Saturday to Wednesday according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
According to the Met Office, western disturbance is likely to enter upper parts of the country from Saturday 26th September and likely to prevail till Wednesday 30th September.

Under this influence of this weather system:
- Rain / wind thunderstorms are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mianwalim Khushab, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, and Kasur during Saturday night to Wednesday with occasional gaps. Dust-Thunderstorm is also expected in Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur from Sunday to Tuesday.
- This weather system will be subsiding the Prevailing hot weather conditions in the upper and central parts of the country.
After the end of monsoon in the first week of September, Hot & Humid sunny weather continued for couple of weeks in twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
It is expected that after the upcoming rains weather is expected change from Hot & Sunny to Dry and cozy.
