WEATHER UPDATE: More rain predicted in Sindh from Friday: PMD

KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has informed that strong monsoon currents are expected to penetrate in Sindh leading to heavy rain from Friday till Monday.

According to the PMD’s notification moderate to isolated heavy rain is expected in following parts of Sindh

• Karachi
• Hyderabad
• Thatta
• Badin
• Shaheed Benazirabad
• Dadu
• Tharpaker
• Mirpurkhas
• Umar Kot
• Samghar
• Sukkur
• Larkana
• Lasbella

Including lower parts of Balochistan.

Meanwhile, Rain-thundershower are also expected in Southern Punjab cities Bhakkar, Layyah, D.G Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rajanpur on friday and saturaday.

In related news, Punjab experienced heavy rainfall on Thursday with the highest being recorded in Lahore at 189mm. Several lives were lost across the province due to rain related incidents.
