WEATHER UPDATE: The Meteorological Office has announced that moderate monsoon currents are expected to enter the country from the Arabian Sea starting from the 18th of July. This weather system will impact several regions across Pakistan with varying degrees of rain, wind, and thundershowers.
Kashmir
From the evening of 18th July until the 21st, areas in Kashmir such as Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur will experience rain, wind, and thundershowers. There will be occasional breaks in between these weather events.
Punjab and Islamabad
Residents of Islamabad and various cities in Punjab, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Tala Gang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, and Mianwali, should prepare for rain, wind, and thundershowers from the 17th to the 20th of July. Additionally, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, D.G. Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan, and Layyah will see similar weather from the 17th to the 19th.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The regions of Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Hangu, Kurram, Waziristan, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan will experience rain, wind, and thundershowers from the evening of 17th July to the 21st, with some intermittent breaks.
Balochistan
Most districts in Balochistan will experience hot and humid weather. However, the north-eastern parts, including Khuzdar, Kalat, Lasbella, Awaran, Ziarat, Zhob, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Shirani, Kohlu, Harnai, Naseerabad, and Jaffarabad, will see rain, wind, and thundershowers from the 17th to the 19th of July.
Sindh
The majority of Sindh will also experience hot and very humid weather. However, districts such as Mithi, Sanghar, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Badin, Sajawal, Thatta, Karachi, Hyderabad, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Qamber Shahdadkot, Larkana, Dadu, and Padidan will witness rain, wind, and thundershowers on the 18th and 19th of July.
Gilgit Baltistan
In Gilgit-Baltistan, expect partly cloudy to cloudy weather. Rainfall activity is forecasted in Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar from the 17th to the 21st of July.

- Heavy Rainfall: Increased inflows in local nullahs and streams in Murree, Galliyat, Manshera, Kohistan, and Kashmir from the 17th to the 19th of July.
- Urban Flooding: Possible urban flooding in low-lying areas of Punjab and lower Sindh on the 18th and 19th of July.
- Landslides: Landslides may disrupt roads in the hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
- Structural Damage: Heavy downpours, windstorms, and lightning may damage weak structures such as the roofs and walls of Kacha houses, electric poles, billboards, vehicles, and solar panels.
