White Corolla Gang Robbing Houses In DHA Karachi

KARACHI: A ‘white corolla gang’ is actively robbing houses in DHA area of Karachi with two such incidents being reported in the last two days.

According to the details, the gang of robbers broke into a house in DHA Phase V on Sunday and took the security guards hostage before looting all valuable including a pistol, revolver, expensive dagger, some gold jewelry and cash before fleeing the crime scene.

Another incident was reported on Saturday from Phase VIII of DHA with apparently the same ‘white corolla gang’ breaking into a bungalow and robbing the place while taking the security guards hostage.

The CCTV footage of the incident has been shared showing the efficiency of these robbers who swept the house clean of all valuables in less than half an hour before escaping in a ‘white Toyota Corolla’.

The police have registered a case against both these incidents and they are investigating the matter with check posts setup in these areas where you will find almost all cars matching the description being checked by authorities.

It is pertinent to mention that a similar group using a white Toyota Corolla was active in Karachi a few years ago and was involved in crimes from ranging from petty theft to as serious as rape.

However, the police officials think that this new ‘white corolla gang’ committing robberies in DHA Karachi is different from the original group.
