QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has announced early winter vacations in schools starting December 1 keeping in view the rising coronavirus cases in the country. according to the provincial education minister Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind on Monday.
According to the education minister, the winter vacations in Balochistan schools will commence from December 1 for a period of three months. “The new education year will begin from March after three-month vacations across the province,” said Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind.
On Monday, the decision regarding early and extended winter vacations was deferred by one week with a meeting scheduled of all education ministers and the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) for November 23rd.
In related news, the Sindh education minister Saeed Ghani suggested that there should be no winter vacations in Sindh schools as students cannot afford more educational losses.
