KARACHI: A woman has been arrested by police for blackmailing her ex-boyfriend in with his nude pictures and videos and publishing them on Facebook without his consent.
The victim named Tahir Rasheed lodged a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime Response Center against his ex-girlfriend, Sumera Ishaq, for blackmailing and leaking his private videos on Facebook through fake accounts.

According to the Tahir Rasheed, both of them met in 2013 and started dating just last year and he says that he had given Sumera Ishaq several gifts during their relationship which includes expensive jewelry and clothes.
Tahir Rasheed told the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA):
We had developed intimacy and we would often do video calls on WhatsApp,
She asked me to show myself [naked] on the chat and as I did she recorded me without me knowing.
Sumera Ishaq apparently made recording during their video call sessions and later started asking Tahir for money and upon refusal, she started blackmailing him with those nude videos.
As per the victim’s statement, the girl wanted to get married and when he refused her proposals, she ended up posting those private videos on Facebook using a fake account.
A First Information Report (FIR) was registered under Sections 16, 17, 20, 21, 24 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act read with Section 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
With the information provided by Tahir Rasheed, a raid was conducted at the woman’s house and three cellphones were recovered and the technical analysis confirmed the claims made by the victim.
The woman was arrested by police for blackmailing her ex-boyfriend and further investigation revealed that this wasn’t the first time she had been involved in such activities.
Previsously, she was involved in blackmailing a relative of the victim as well. It is pertinent to mention that the woman was a school teacher and actually in charge of the welfare of children.
