A family in Central China’s Hunan Provine came to an end after the husband faked his death for an insurance fraud but forgot to inform his family.
A 34-year-old man named “He” turned himself into the authorities after learning of the tragic demise of his wife and two children.
31-year-old wife “Dai” on October 10 drowned herself and their 4-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter after posting a suicide note on WeChat. The note led to the search of the mother and two children and later the next day three bodies were found in a pond near their home.

SUICIDE NOTE
The note she left on WeChat said her husband’s family blamed her for the cause of his death, and she was also blamed for not having a job and spending too much money.
Dai also wrote on her suicide message that they were a happily married couple and she loved her husband very much. She also wrote she misses her husband a lot. She also wrote she was taking her children with her because she did not want them to suffer being orphaned and the family could all be together again after death.

34 year old He has confessed of taking an online loan of more than 100,000 yuan, to pay off his loan he bought a life insurance worth 1 million yuan on September 7 few days before faking his own death. His wife was beneficiary but didn’t inform her.
On September 19, he rented a car and drove it into the river to disguise as a traffic accident. He had run off to southwest China’s Guizhou Province.
He has shared a video clip on social media apologizing to his dead family, he is seen crying and admitted he wanted the money for the treatment of his daughter who suffered from epilepsy. He never knew his wife’s love was so strong and had no idea that she would take such a step.
He is detained by local police, but it is unlikely that he will be convicted, as his deception was not the direct cause of his family’s deaths and cannot be held responsible.
