Woman Swallowed by 10ft Deep Sinkhole

China: A woman in China while walking on the street suddenly swallowed by 10ft deep sinkhole. It was a shocking moment a pedestrianis swallowed by a sinkhole. Pavement beneath her feet suddenly opens up.

She is lucky to be still alive.  She has sustained two rib fractures after falling 10ft below. The incident took place in Lanzhou.

CCTV footage has captured the horrifying moment as she is swallowed by the sinkhole. A huge hole suddenly opened up beneath her foot as she was walking by on a busy street in front of the bus stop. Footage also shows her hitting her head before falling down.

The sinkhole is estimated to be three-meter-deep (9.8-feet-deep) pit.

The cause of the sinkhole is being investigated.

Police on social media post said the accident occurred in front of a bus stop on Ruide Avenue in the city of Lanzhou

Surveillance footage released by China Global Television Network shows woman dressed in black falling through the pavement as it collapsed. The pavement continued to crumble and the woman got stuck at thebottom.

BJ News reported an eye witness called for ambulance and another motorcyclist threw his helmet for the victim to protect her head from injuries.

The woman was taken to the hospital and was found to have two fractures on her ribs. Her condition was reportedly stable.
