ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued an official clarification stating that the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) is currently not accessible within the country.
This statement comes in response to reports suggesting that the platform remains accessible for some users. However, PTA has firmly denied these claims, reaffirming that access to X is restricted in Pakistan.
While government departments and officials have been reportedly accessing the platform through Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), PTA encourages users to officially register their VPNs if they wish to access restricted platforms like X. The exact reason for the ban on X remains unclear at this time.
