Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed the appeal for the public hanging of Zainab’s rapist and murderer, here on Tuesday.
Haji Amin, Zainab’s fathers had moved the appeal for the public execution of Imran (rapist and murderer of Zainab) to set an example and protect the lives of other innocent children’s.

Imran who was convicted in the case of rape and murder of Zainab will be hanged on October 17 in Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.
A division bench of Lahore High Court headed by Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan rejected the appeal. The black warrants of Imran are to be executed as per Law. The lawyers who refuted against the appeal quoted a Supreme Court judgment that states “Public execution are against the norms of human dignity”
The Zainab Murder Case
Imran was convicted in February who was booked for rape and murder of 12 other minors.
Zainab was raped and murdered by Imran after being abducted on January from her aunt’s home. Her body was discovered from a garbage pile on January 9. The whole incident had caused a massive uproar throughout the country demanding justice for Zainab.
On January 23, after DNA match the accused Imran was arrested by authorities.
