In Abu Dhabi, a new housing project called Yas Canal is set to provide 1,146 residential villas specifically for Emiratis. Approved by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, this project is situated in Al Raha Beach and is expected to cost Dh3.5 billion, with completion scheduled for the final quarter of 2027. The project is under the management of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Centre for Projects and Infrastructure and the ICT Real Estate Development Company.
Sheikh Khaled emphasized that the Yas Canal project underscores the leadership’s dedication to delivering high-quality housing suitable for Emirati families in Abu Dhabi. This commitment aims to enhance the overall well-being and quality of life of citizens while fostering social stability to support the ongoing development of the emirate.
Operating under a public-private partnership, the ICT Real Estate Development Company is leading the design, construction, and infrastructure of the project, with oversight from the Abu Dhabi Centre for Projects and Infrastructure. Residential unit sales for UAE nationals are handled in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority.
Spanning 1.8 square kilometers, the Yas Canal project features villas, three mosques, a school, a gym, and various amenities and shops across a 10,000 square meter area.
