The entire nation praised Arshad Nadeem for his outstanding effort in the javelin throw final at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, despite having entered the competition without access to proper facilities on par with those available to other athletes.
Arshad Nadeem missed out on a medal but won the nation over with his spirit and determination throughout the competition. The Pakistani athlete was able to score a distance of 84.62m in the contest, while India’s Neeraj Chopra came in with first place with a score of 87.58m, taking home a gold medal.
Meanwhile, the second place (silver medal) went to Czech Republic’s Vadlejch with a throw of 86.67m and the third place (bronze medal) went to Czech Republic’s Vesley with a throw distance of 85.44m.
Rules of the Game
According to the rules, each player is allowed a total of three attempts during the final competition, which is followed by the eight athletes on the top advancing into round two with three more attempts, while the rest are eliminated. The best of six throws are taken into account.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistani weightlifter Talha Talib also reached the final of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 but missed out on a medal too. However, the 21-year-old displayed tremendous effort and finished fift int he 67kg category with an overall impressive lifting of 320kg of weight.
