Portuguese professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for CORONAVIRUS, according to a statement released by the Portuguese Football Federation on Tuesday.
According to the statement, Cristiano Ronaldo is not showing any symptoms and has been sent home for isolation.
The Thirty-five-year-old has been released from international duty and sent home for self-isolation.
Cristiano Ronaldo Juventus forward last week played for Portugal against France and Spain in the National League on Sunday.

The Portuguese Football Federation in a statement said:
” Cristiano Ronaldo was released from the work of the National Team after a positive test for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden. The Portuguese international is doing well, without symptoms, and in isolation. Following the positive case, the remaining players underwent new tests this Tuesday morning, all with a negative result, and are available to Fernando Santos for training this afternoon, in the City of Football. The game, counting for the qualification phase of the League of Nations, is scheduled for Wednesday, at 19:45, in Alvalade.”
Ronaldo on Monday had shared an image with his team mates captioned “United on and off the field!”
The image is taken around the table during meal with the squad.
The Federation, however, confirmed all other players have tested negative and will be available to Fernando Santos for training this afternoon, in the City of Football.
