Islamabad United emerged victorious in the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League claiming the PSL 9 champions title by defeating Multan Sultans by two wickets at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
In a remarkable display of skill, Islamabad United delivered a stellar performance despite losing the toss. They managed to restrict Multan Sultans to a target of 160 runs, with Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan playing pivotal roles by taking crucial wickets.
During their batting innings, Islamabad United’s Martin Guptil showcased his talent by scoring 50 runs from just 32 balls. Despite facing setbacks with early dismissals of key players, the team successfully chased down the target with 2 wickets remaining.
On the other hand, Multan Sultans struggled to make an impact with their batting lineup. Apart from Mohammad Rizwan, Usman Khan, and Iftikhar Ahmed, who contributed 26, 57, and 32 runs respectively, the rest of the players failed to achieve significant scores.
