Karachi Kings vs Islamabad United – PSL 8 Match 4 Highlights

Pakistan Super League (PSL 8 2023) tournament’s Match 4 between Karachi Kings vs Islamabad United took place at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi and the Islamabad United emerged victorious after defeating Karachi Kings by 4 wickets with 10 balls remaining.

Islamabad United won the toss and elected to bowl first, which turned out in their favor as they were able to restrict Karachi Kings to a total of just 173 runs, which were easy chased in the second innings.

Karachi Kings lost an early wicket with James Vince being sent back to the pavilion after scoring just 4 runs off 3 balls. However, Sharjeel Khan and Haider Ali picked up the pace as both of them scored 34 and 59 runs, respectively.

Mathew Wade and Shoaib Malik were able to add 18 runs each to the score total, while Irfan Khan and James Fuller scored 19 and 12 runs, respectively. In total, Karachi Kings were able to set a target of 174 runs for Islamabad United.

Islamabad United had a rough start with two early wickets lost as Paul Stirling and Hassan Nawaz were only able to score 4 and 7 runs, respectively. However, Rassie van der Dussen, Colin Munro, and Azam Khan made sure to make it up as the three of them added 31, 58, and 44 runs to the score.

Faheem Ashraf and Tom Curran both guided the team to victory towards the end with 12 and 10 runs, respectively.
