Multan Sultans vs Islamabad United – PSL 8 Match 7 Highlights

The most awaited tournament of the year, Pakistan Super League (PSL 8 2023) continues with Match 7 between Multan Sultans vs Islamabad United taking place today at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The 2021 champions, Multan Sultans, won the match by 52 runs.

Islamabad United won the toss and elected to bowl to first, but they were unable to restrict Multan Sultans as they were able to set a target of 191 runs to win the game.

Multan Sultans had a decent innings despite the loss of an early wicket as Shan Masood was only able to score 3 runs. Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan and David Miller were able to score half centuries with 50 and 52 runs, respectively.

Rilee Rossouw and Kieron Pollard also managed 30 and 32 runs, respectively, while Khushdil Shah added 3 runs towards the end of the innings.

Islamabad United lost an early wicket as Paul Stirling only scored 5 runs, while Hassan Nawaz picked up the pace, but he was only able to add another 21 runs. However, Rassie Van Der Dussen made a respectable 49 runs off 32 balls, while Colin Munro scored 31 runs off 23 balls.

However, the Islamabad United was unable to keep up with the Required Run Rate (RRR), especially with another wicket being wasted after Shadab Khan failed to perform and scored just 1 run off 3 balls.

Azam Khan managed to score 16 runs off 14 balls but at this point, the game was already lost. Meanwhile, the rest of the lineup failed to score, barely scoring any runs.
