Mahnoor Ali, an 11-year-old squash player from Pakistan won the gold medal in the U13 category at the Lion Junior City Open 2024 in Singapore. She beat Tang Ching Sum from Hong Kong with scores of eleven-six, eleven-seven, and eleven-four.
This big win was possible because of the Bilquis and Abdul Razak Dawood Foundation’s help. Mahnoor has now won four international titles, including the Australian Junior Open 2024 and a bronze medal at the 7th Borneo Junior Open 2023. The foundation supports sports and helps young talents like Mahnoor participate in big events and gain experience.
Abdul Razak Dawood while speaking for the foundation said he was proud of Mahnoor’s win. He said it’s important to give chances and resources to young sports lovers, so they can become champions. The foundation will keep helping young talents in Pakistan grow and do well.
Mahnoor Ali’s many wins, with 14 medals and 4 international titles, make both the foundation and the country proud. Her success shows how much potential Pakistani kids have in sports. It also shows how important it is to support and give opportunities to young talents.
