LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed on Thursday that Shan Masood will continue as the captain of the national team for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.
Speaking to the media, Naqvi shared that he had a video call with Masood to discuss ways to improve the team’s performance in Test cricket.
“There has been no decision to remove Shan Masood as the Test captain,” Naqvi clarified. He added that the 34-year-old opening batter will keep leading the Men in Green, citing positive feedback about Masood’s leadership.
“Many have given positive feedback about his leadership,” said PCB chairman.
On venues for Bangladesh Test series, Mohsin Naqvi said that the PCB has finalised the venues for the Test series against Bangladesh, which will be held in Multan, Karachi or Rawalpindi as Gaddafi Stadium is undergoing upgradation.
It is pertinent to mention here that the two-match series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is part of the ICC Test Championship 2023-2025.
