Earlier health officials in Sindh proposed that public events should be banned in the province amid the new coronavirus cases that emerged including Pakistan Super League (PSL 2020) in Karachi.
However, putting all those speculations to rest, the Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah has announced that all PSL 2020 matches will be held at the National Stadium Karachi as per the previous decided schedule.
The Information Minister in a press conference said:
The virus is not as deadly as being portrayed,
It is not as if someone who contracts cannot recover fully,

He also referred to the first coronavirus patient in Pakistan Yayha Jafri who has recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
He also said that everyone should come and watch the PSL matches and that arrangements will be made for sanitisers and screening at the Stadium.
The Sindh Information Minister said:
We will provide sanitisers and there are arrangements for screening as well,
Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah has directed to arrangements to be made for the PSL 2020 matches that are going to take place in Karachi and place hand wash and sanitisers at the boxes at National Stadium.
CM Murad Ali Shah has also advised people with a history of travel to Iran recently to avoid coming to the Stadium to watch the PSL 2020.
However, a Chinese diplomat in Karachi has now advised that Sindh schools should remain closed and also to avoid public gatherings.
