Peshawar Zalmi had won the toss and elected to field first and they did make it difficult for the Multan Sultans who were only able to make 154/6.

Multan Sultans were first to bat after they had lost the toss. Zeeshan Ashraf gave a good performance scoring 52 runs off 39 balls followed by Khushdil Shah who scored 30 runs off 20 balls. Shan Masood also played well scoring 28 runs off 39 balls.

On the other side, Peshawar Zalmi also were not able to perform up to the mark and were kept under control by the Sultans and lost by just 3 runs. Imam ul Haq, Shoaib Malik and Umar Amin gave a good performance though scoring 56, 30 and 29 runs respectively while everyone else who came out to bat failed.
