PSL 6 2021: Karachi Kings VS Islamabad United – Match 6 Highlights

KARACHI: Pakistan Super League sixth edition (PSL 6 2021) – Match 6 Highlights – Karachi Kings VS Islamabad United (KK VS IU) at Karachi National Stadium – United won by 5 wickets with 5 balls remaining.

Islamabad United had won the toss and elected to field first allowing Karachi Kings to set a mammoth 197-run target after scoring 196/3 during the first innings of the sixth PSL 6 2021 match at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Karachi Kings had an impressive start to their batting with Sharjeel Khan scoring 105 runs off 59 balls while Babar Azam contributed 62 runs off 54 balls. However, despite the strong opening from the partnership between the two batsmen, the team could not take the win against Islamabad United. Meanwhile, Daniel Christian and Mohammad Nabi also scored 12 and 7 runs respectively for the squad.

Islamabad United had a rough start to their batting as Phil Salt and Shadab Khan lost their wickets having scored 0 runs, however, Alex Hales was able to cover for the team and scored an impressive 46 runs off 21 balls.

Faheem Ashraf also contributed 25 runs off 15 balls while Iftikhar Ahmed and Hussain Talat were instrumental towards the team’s win with their score of 49 and 42 runs respectively. Meanwhile Asif Ali also contributed 21 runs off 9 balls and helped guide the team to victory.
