PSL 6 2021: Peshawar Zalmi VS Multan Sultans – Match 5 Highlights

KARACHI: Pakistan Super League sixth edition (PSL 6 2021) – Match 5 Highlights – Peshawar Zalmi VS Multan Sultans (PZ VS MS) at Karachi National Stadium – Zalmi won by 6 wickets with 6 balls remaining,

Peshawar Zalmi had won the toss and elected to field first and allowed for Multan Sultans to score an impressive 193/4 and setting a difficult target for their opponents during the fifth match of the PSL 6 2021 tournament. It is pertinent to mention that neither side has a point so far as both had lost their opening matches. 

Multan Sultans suffered a setback in the start as Chris Lynn lost his wicket having scored only 1 run off 4 balls but Mohammad Rizwan and James Vince gave a solid partnership allowing for the squad to recover from the slight hiccup.

Mohammad Rizwan scored an impressive 41 runs off 28 balls while James Vince and his 84 runs contribution allowed the Multan Sultans to set a target of 194 for Zalmi. Sohaib Maqsood also gave a solid performance with his 36 runs off 21 balls while Rilee Rossouw and Khushdil Shah contributed 14 and 6 runs respectively towards the end of the innings.

Peshawar Zalmi started off strong with Imam-ul-Haq and Kamran Akmal scoring giving a solid partnership and scoring 48 and 37 runs respectively. Tom Kohler-Cadmore gave an exceptional performance and contributed 53 runs off just 32 balls.

Sherfane Rutherford and Shoaib Malik both scored 15 and 11 runs respectively while Haider Ali with his 24 runs off 8 balls guided team Peshawar Zalmi to the win at a time when everyone started to loose hope.
