Multan Sultans have become the new champions after defeating Peshawar Zalmi in the sixth season of Pakistan Super League (PSL 6 2020) Final at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The Sultans won by 47 runs.
Multan Sultans scored an impressive 206/4 in the first innings of the PSL 6 Final against Peshawar Zalmi.
Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan of the Multan Sultans kicked off the batting and scored an outstanding 37 and 30 runs respectively out of 59 balls.
Sohaib Maqsood gave an impressive performance adding 65 runs to the total from just 35 balls while Rilee Rossouw scored 50 runs from just 21 balls.
Khushdil Shah also added 15 runs from 5 balls.
Peshawar Zalmi scored just 159/9 failed to perform in the PSL 6 Final even though the team had won the toss and elected to field first.
Kamran Akmal of the Peshawar Zalmi scored 35 runs off 36 balls while Shoaib Malik and Rovman Powell managed to add 48 and 23 runs to the total respectively out of 14 balls.
Sherfane Rutherford scored 18 runs from 10 balls.
The rest of the Peshawar Zalmi team failed to perform and hardly managed to score any runs.
