Karachi Kings won the toss and elected to bat first, however, they could manage to set a target of 150 runs for Lahore Qalandars to win the match in the second innings.

Karachi Kings had a rough start to the innings with Joe Clarke getting dismissed too early into the game after scoring just 5 runs off 5 balls. However, Babar Azam managed 39 runs off 32 balls and the team managed to set a target of 150 runs for the Lahore Qalandars.

Lahore Qalandars had a rough start as Abdullah Shafique and Fakhar Zaman was dismissed too early after just scoring 8 and 1 runs, respectively. The team failed to bounce back with Mir Hamza taking 4 wickets for 27 runs. Karachi Kings won their first game of the tournament by 22 runs.
