Pakistan Super League Seventh Edition (PSL 7 2022) – Match 16 Highlights – Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi (MS vs PZ) at Lahore Qaddafi Stadium – Multan Sultans won by 42 runs.
Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl first and allowed Multan Sultans to set a target of 183 to win the match in the second innings.

Multan Sultans put in a decent effort with Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan giving a solid start to the first innings with scores of 68 and 34 off 49 and 34 balls, respectively. Tim David, who came in after Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed by Wahab Riaz, also managed to score 34 runs off 18 balls.
However, the Peshawar Zalmi tightened their bowling through the remainder of the innings and they were able to control the score with Rilee Rossouw and Khushdil Shah only managing 15 and 11 runs, respectively. Multan Sultans managed a score of 182 during their batting in the first innings.
Multan Sultans showed an outstanding performance with the ball as they dismissed Peshawar Zalmi openers Kamran Akmal and Haider Ali for only scores of 4 and 1 runs, respectively. Meanwhile, Liam Livingstone and Shoaib Malik managed to score 24 and 44 runs off 16 and 31 balls, respectively.
Hussain Talat was also dismissed early for a score of just 4 runs, while Sherfane Rutherford and Ben Cutting managed another 21 and 23 runs, respectively. However, Peshawar Zalmi was unable to chase target of 183 set by Multan Sultans in the first innings.
