Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl first and allowed Multan Sultans to set a target of 223 runs to win the match in the second innings. Multan Sultans played an outstanding innings across the board and the team continues its winning streak in the PSL 7.

Shan Masood managed 35 runs off 25 balls with 5 boundaries, while Mohammad Rizwan scored a brilliant 82 runs off 53 balls with 9 boundaries in total. Sohaib Maqsood only managed 25 runs from 17 balls, while Tim David played an outstanding innings scoring 51 runs off 19 balls towards the end of the innings alongside Khushdil Shah, who also added 21 runs off just 7 balls.
Peshawar Zalmi had a rough start with Kamran Akmal getting dismissed for just 10 runs off 7 balls, however, Hazratullah Zazai managed a score of 43 runs off 32 balls. Haider Ali, who replaced Kamran Akmal on the pitch scored 24 runs off 12 balls, while Shoaib Malik could only add 11 runs towards the target of 223.
Sherfane Rutherford was dismissed very early as well for only 2 runs, while Ben Cutting did manage to score 52 runs, but it wasn’t enough because he had no support from the rest of the lower batting order, who could not survive Multan Sultan’s balling attack.
Multan Sultans won the match by 57 runs.
