Quetta Gladiators vs Karachi Kings – PSL 8 Match 22 Highlights

Quetta Gladiators defeated Karachi Kings by 4 wickets in the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 8 2023). Martin Guptill deserves all the credit after scoring 26 runs off 56 balls, while the rest of the team completely failed to perform.

Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bowl first and they were able to restrict Karachi Kings to a target of just 164 runs.

Karachi Kings had a rough start to their innings with Matthew Wade being dismissed for 0 for 1 balls, however, Adam Rossington was able to make 69 runs from just 45 balls. However, it all went downhill from there as Tayyab Tahir, Qasim Akram, and Shoaib Malik failed to perform and made 7, 8, and 13 runs, respectively.

Imad Wasim and Aamer Yamin were able to add some much needed runs to the score with both of them able score 30 and 23 runs, respectively. On the other hand, James Fuller could only make 5 from 6 balls.

In the second innings, Quetta Gladiators also lost an early wicket with Omair Yousuf only able to score 8 runs, while Muhammad Nawaz who came to the pitch after his dismissal was also sent back to the pavilion for just 15 runs off 11 balls.

However, Martin Guptill gave a good performance scoring an undefeated 86 runs off 56 balls.

Meanwhile, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Najibullah Zadran were unable to perform as well and scored just 4 and 1, respectively. Umar Akmal was also dismissed for just 9 runs off 6 balls and he was followed by Sarfaraz Ahmed with 29 runs off 25 balls.

Dwaine Pretorius was able to score 10 off 3 balls, a much needed addition towards the end of the game.
