Apple has also unveiled its new AirPods Pro 2 with a similar design as the previous model but several improvements, including the H2 chip, a new low-distortion driver and amp on board that can cover a wider range of sound frequencies and a bigger battery.
The AirPods Pro 2 supports a personalized Spatial Audio feature that works by using the true depth camera on your iPhone to create a personal spatial sound profile based on the shape and size of your ears. Furthermore, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) has gotten advanced computation audio with optimized microphone placement that Apple claims will give 2x better noise cancellation compared to the previous generation AirPods Pro.
Apple has also added Adaptive Transparency, a new mode that listens and cancels any high decibel noise around the user – an example would be a construction work going nearby.
Moreover, Apple has added more touch controls for the volume adjustments to its Force Sensor Controls.
The battery life of the Apple AirPods Pro 2 has been rated at 6 hours of listening and up to 30 hours with the case, which is compatible with the Find My services thanks to the UWB and also gets a speaker that can play a high pitch sound to help find you, something which has also been added to the Apple Watch.
The case can be charged from its Lighting port or wirelessly via any Qi charger, MagSafe charger or Apple Watch charger.
Apple AirPods Pro 2 will cost $249 and will be available to order from September 9 and shipment starts September 23.
