Apple has finally launched the iPhone SE 2022, which is the third generation of the iPhone SE, two years after the company introduced the second generation of the device. The new iPhone SE 2022 might look similar on the outside as the iPhone 6, but the smartphone has received a complete makeover when it comes to the internals.
The iPhone SE 2022 is now equipped with the company’s own A15 chipset which also powers the iPhone 13 series. However, Apple has decided to keep the storage options same as before, including a 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variant.
Furthermore, the screen on the smartphone still measures 4.7-inch along with Touch ID fingerprint reader below the screen. However, there are large bezels above and below, which makes this bigger than the iPhone Mini.
The camera on the iPhone SE 2022 is still a 12MP unit without features like the image stabilization like the iPhone 13 series, but the company claims that overall imaging has improved on the computational photography side and the smartphone has features like HDR 4, Photographic Styles, and Deep Fusion.
iPhone SE 2022 will go on pre-order this Friday starting $429 for the 64GB model, which is more than expected as rumors placed this smartphone to be a lot cheaper. The shipment for the iPhone SE will start on March 18 in several countries, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, the UK, and the US.
