Apple might release an affordable iPhone called iPhone 9

People have been waiting eagerly for Apple, the company behind the iPhone to come out with a much affordable version of it’s famous iPhone. It already has much affordable versions like the iPhone XR or iPhone 11 but they are still a little on the higher end side and out of reach for most people. However. According to some sources, Apple might be coming out with a much affordable version and probably be calling it the iPhone 9.

Macotakra was the one who suggested that the upcoming affordable phone by Apple will be called the iPhone 9 after a report by Ming Chi-Kuo, a famous Apple analyst who said that the company might release an affordable iPhone in the first half of 2020.

Although nothing is confirmed officially at this point and all of this is still a speculation.

Although it was thought that if the company releases a new affordable phone, it would be along the lines of iPhone SE and will probably be named the iPhone SE 2 and that might still be the case.

According to Macotakara, they have a source which states that the iPhone SE 2 that is said to be launched in spring 2020 will be launched as the iPhone 9. According to the source, when Apple released the iPhone 8 back in 2017, it also launched an anniversary edition of the iPhone called iPhone X and completely missed the iPhone 9. So Apple might just name it’s new smartphone iPhone 9 which is said to be like the iPhone 8 in terms of design and size.

According to Ming Chi-Kuo, the tech giant might release five new models in the coming year. He suggests that the the iPhone 12 will have 4 models starting from a 5.4 inch OLED display all the up to 6.4 inches display which will be Apple’s biggest iPhone launched.

Let’s see what happens in the coming months as all of this is still just rumors and speculation and nothing officially confirmed from Apple itself.
