Asus launched a new Transfromer Book called Trio, a dockable tablet that an run Android and Windows. It has 11.6 inches and 1080 screen. If you are thinking how it works, there is a physical hot key which allows you to switch between OS’s.It’s important to note, though, that that hotkey will only work if you have the tablet latched into the keyboard dock; once you unplug the tablet it will only run Android Jelly Bean.
Further Specification :
- Dual-OS/Dual-processors,with a Haswell fourth-generation Core i7-4500U processor powering the Windows 8 experience
- A 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 chip handling Android Jelly Bean.
- Storage 1TB HDD inside the dock.
- 64GB of flash storage inside the tablet.
- 33Whr battery
Pull it out, however, and you’ve got a fully-functional Android tablet. It’s also powered by an Intel chip — a much more humble 2GHz Clover Trail+ Atom. Visuals should look nice and sharp on the 11.6-inch 1080p screen, and a 19.5Whr battery will provide a decent amount of use between charges. It’s running Android 4.2.
Asus hasn’t announced pricing for the Transformer Book Trio yet, but you can bet it’s going to command a premium. This is, after all, a device that can function as an Android tablet, Android notebook, Windows 8 notebook, and a Windows 8 desktop.
