Facebook Messenger outage has been reported by users from various cities and towns across Pakistan since yesterday evening and still the issue persists.
According to the Downdetector, users reported issues while sending and receiving messages, at approximately 5:30 pm. Many users commented and shared their experiences on the site in which they reported the issue. The users are facing issues in almost all major cities in Pakistan.
Facebook Messenger is unable to connect, where the Facebook app is working fine, However, Skype calling is working but users reported they are unable to send or receive any media file.
According to our sources, users are experiencing issues with instagram app, However, many believe that there’s some technical issue from META end.
Earlier yesterday, users reported slow internet issue, meanwhile, Pakistan’s telecommunications regulator, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), is currently upgrading its Web Monitoring System (WMS), which is causing internet disruptions for users leading up to the parliamentary election scheduled for February 8, The director general of PTA, Ahmed Shamim Pirzada, attributes recent internet slowdowns to technical glitches during the software update.
