The Game Awards had a lot happening with Microsoft showing off their Xbox Series X console for the first time. Sony was not far behind as they also had an announcement to make. Sony just confirmed their first PS5 (PlayStation 5) game, Godfall.
Gearbox and Counterplay Games are behind this new title, Godfall and it will be an exclusive only to the PS5 (PlayStation5) and PC with no current announcement for an Xbox version. The game is described by it’s developers as a “looter-slasher”.
This is how the game was described by the company:
At its core, Godfall is a fantasy action RPG that utilizes high-impact third-person melee combat to engage players as they hunt for loot, don legendary armor sets, and defeat vicious enemies. As players face challenging missions in the world of Godfall, enemies and bosses will reward fans with head-turning loot as they are vanquished. Godfall can be played entirely in solo, duo or three-player coop, providing fun for all.
The game seems pretty interesting from how they described it and knowing Gearbox, we can expect good things especially after Borderlands, which was in all fairness a pretty good game.
Godfall seems to be a game which would be released at the PS5 (PlayStation5 ) launch together with the console however, it’s not officially confirmed. Even the official date for the console’s premiere is not known yet.
The Sony PS5 (PlayStation 5) will probably get some current titles transferred to the new console too like before. Currently this is all we know from the announcement and will will probably get more updates in the weeks to come.
This is the reveal trailer that was released for the game and although, it doesn’t show much of anything like gameplay, it still looks pretty cool and something a lot of people are gonna be interested in. We can probably expect a longer trailer for the game to be out soon as the PS5 (PlayStation 5) comes close to launch.
