Google is going to ban all ads that promote Coronavirus Conspiracy Theories on its ad platform according to the company on Friday.
According to the company, any websites or apps using its advertising platform will be prohibited from running ads promoting dangerous content especially coronavirus conspiracy theories.

The moves comes after the coronavirus cases continue to mount in the united states and these online companies like Google and Facebook have been criticized of not doing enough to control the spread of misinformation.
According to a statement by Google, content prohibited includes ads such as promotion of conspiracy theories like the coronavirus was created in a lab by Chinese by, Microsoft Founder Bill Gates or that the virus is a hoax altogether.
Based on the new policies from the tech giant, advertisers will no longer be able to create their own ads that promote such content allowing only certain institutions to run ads about the coronavirus pandemic which include Government agencies and healthcare providers.
In other news, the internet experience a major outage in different parts of the world as a result of an error in the Cloudflare Network. The company has confirmed that the outage taking place was not the result of an attack but rather a router that malfunctioned at their end causing bad routes across their backbone.
