KARACHI: Google for Startups has unveiled its new AI Academy program, aimed at propelling the growth of AI startups in Pakistan and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This initiative promises to energize the AI landscape by fostering a vibrant community and sparking cross-border innovation.
The AI Academy will select over 20 startups focused on AI technology. By uniting these startups, the program will cultivate a dynamic network of innovators, enabling the exchange of ideas, expertise, and resources.
This collaborative environment is set to fast-track the development of groundbreaking AI solutions and position APAC as a global leader in AI advancements.
Participating startups will benefit from:
- Tailored Mentorship: Direct access to Google’s top AI experts for personalized advice and support.
- Google Cloud Credits: Up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits to advance their AI projects and experiments.
- Community Building: Opportunities to network and collaborate with other AI startups across the APAC region.
AI Academy aims to accelerate startups by helping them build a “proof of concept” and a product roadmap. By leveraging Google Cloud tools on their data, startups can rapidly validate and enhance their AI solutions.
This streamlined approach is designed to fast-track their journey to market and showcase the real-world impact of their innovations.
Farhan S. Qureshi, Country Director at Google Pakistan, emphasized the significance of the program: “Our AI Academy initiative reflects Google’s dedication to advancing AI across the Asia-Pacific. With Pakistan being a key market, we hope local startups will harness this opportunity to amplify their AI solutions and strengthen the AI ecosystem in APAC.”
