Google Photos is making AI editing tools available to all users and not just Pixel owners or Google One subscribers. According to the details, starting May 15th, these tools will be free for all users.
One of the features offered by the AI editing tools is Magic Eraser, which is a handy tool for removing unwanted stuff from your photos, like unwanted photobombers, stray wires, or anything else spoiling your shot.
Photo Unblur is another nifty tool that sharpens blurry photos using AI. You will also get cool features like HDR effect, Portrait Light for tweaking portrait lighting, and Color Pop to make colors pop.
There’s also a Magic Editor that will be free for all Pixel users. It’s like having a wizard in your pocket, letting you do all sorts of fancy edits. Reposition subjects, change the sky, or fill in gaps. The tool will no longer be limited to Pixel 8 users.
For non-Pixel users, you still get 10 free Magic Editor edits each month. Just make sure you have a Google One Premium plan (with at least 2TB of storage) if you need more.
Exciting news for Android and iOS users too. These new features will work on Android 8.0 or later and iOS 15 or later (with at least 3GB of RAM). The rollout starts on May 15th. You might not see the updates right away, but they’ll be heading your way in the coming weeks.
This move by Google shows how much they value photo editing. With these powerful tools now free for all, Google Photos is an even better choice for sprucing up your pictures without the headache of complicated software.
