Google Wallet now available in Pakistan Google Wallet is a digital wallet that allows you to store payment cards, boarding passes, and loyalty cards on your Android device.
The service from the tech giant is designed to reduce transaction friction and ultimately add more consumer convenience.
According to Google, users of multiple banks are welcome to now link their debit and credit card with Google Wallet, and make NFC payments with their Android smartphone and Wear OS Watch.
And expects to onboard more banks over the coming months. The service will also allow users to pay at contactless terminals, make online payments, and perform in-app transactions wherever Google Pay operates.
In addition to payments, the app offers digital storage for travel and retail services. It allows saving boarding passes of some airlines to it and also lets users store online book tickets of others on Google Wallet.
Loyalty programme members can also directly access their reward cards, simplifying benefits management also with digital features.
Security is also a concern; tokenization is used in Google Wallet as well to keep the financial data secure.
A device-specific alternate card number and dynamic security code are used for each transaction. Additionally, users have to verify their identity before they may add a card, and any data stored on their devices is protected by a screen lock.
Lost devices can also be locked or wiped using the Find My Device feature.
