HMD, the proprietor of Nokia, announced plans for some of its new devices this summer, including a Barbie-branded flip phone, a retro Nokia feature phone, and an HMD-branded smartphone. The Barbie flip phone is a collaboration with Mattel and it promises fashion and nostalgia. Furthermore, HMD hinted at another phone under its signature, and rumors indicated numerous upcoming smartphones in the pipeline.
In the midst of speculation about the discontinuation of Nokia devices, HMD assured consumers that Nokia phones will remain available until 2026 when the brand’s license expires. HMD also is going to re-introduce a flagship phone this summer and hinted at a new lineup of phone brands next year.
Furthermore, HMD introduced the “HMD Fusion” development platform, aiming to provide innovative solutions for its upcoming devices. With these announcements, HMD aims to expand its product portfolio and continue delivering quality devices to consumers.
