HMD to Launch 9 New Smartphones This Year Under Its Own Brand Name

HMD is making significant strides in the smartphone arena, with the IMEI database unveiling nine new HMD smartphones. Initially, two phones were spotted, but this recent revelation brings the total to 11, marking an ambitious effort by the brand. While specific specifications remain undisclosed, the presence of these models on the IMEI database confirms their existence.

The NokiaMobile account’s recent transformation into HMD signaled the conclusion of the Nokia era. GSMChina’s discovery of these nine new phones further emphasizes the brand’s commitment to a fresh start. The model numbers—TA-1584, TA-1588, TA-1589, TA-1592, TA-1594, TA-1595, TA-1602, TA-1605, and TA-1631—reflect HMD’s internal testing of these products.

HMD, an acronym for Human Mobile Devices, aspires to craft mobile devices that serve humanity effectively. The challenge ahead involves launching models catering to diverse user needs to potentially revive Nokia’s former popularity.

While detailed specifications are yet to be unveiled, early insights suggest one HMD-branded phone may boast a 108MP triple camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
