Honor is set to host a two-day launch event in China on January 10, introducing the Magic OS 8.0 and unveiling the Magic 6 series. The rumor mill has been gradually revealing details about the Magic 6 series, and a recent leak on Weibo spills the beans on camera specifications and battery sizes for both the Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro.
According to the leak, the Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro are anticipated to feature a rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H main camera and a 50-megapixel OV50M ultra-wide lens. This contradicts previous reports suggesting the Pro variant would house a one-inch, 50-megapixel main camera. For telephoto shots, the Magic 6 is rumored to integrate a 50-megapixel OV50M camera sensor, while the Pro variant may opt for a Samsung HP3 camera sensor.
Turning attention to the Magic 6 Porsche Design edition, its rear camera setup is rumored to comprise a 50-megapixel OV50K main camera sensor, accompanied by a 50-megapixel OV50M ultra-wide lens and a Samsung HP3 telephoto camera.
Although the Samsung HP3 on the Magic 6 Pro and Porsche Design seemingly boasts a 200-megapixel count, there are speculations hinting at a modified 160-megapixel version for the Pro model.
The leak also discloses that the Magic 6 is equipped with a 5,450mAh battery, while the Magic 6 Pro and Porsche Design may sport a slightly larger 5,600mAh battery. Reports also suggest that the Magic 6 could support 66W fast charging, whereas the other two devices might offer 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The entire series is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, according to various reports.
