We all need to reinstall Windows at some point and when that occasion comes we usually want to download the latest build. The problem most face is where to download the installation for Windows and since everyone wants to get the fastest available download for Windows, most people turn to Torrents. The problem with torrents is that most of them are altered in some way and do not provide the stock installation that is recommended. Some people try and download the Windows 10 ISO directly from Microsoft but Microsoft provides the download through their very bad Media Creation Tool that is extremely slow at downloading the ISO and runs into problems a lot. This is a tutorial on how to download Windows 10 directly from Microsoft without Media Creation Tool.
Today I will tell you of a way you can download the Windows 10 ISO directly from Microsoft from the same page they provide their Media Creation Tool without downloading the tool itself. Thing is that Microsoft provides the tool as a means to download Windows to current Windows users. The page Windows users land on is because they’re accessing it from a Windows computer but there is a way to fool the website into thinking that you are not viewing the page from a Windows device. Next are step by step ways showing you how to proceed.
Go to the Windows 10 ISO download page on the Microsoft website
This is the page you will land on which is the page that provides the Media Creation Tool. We are not going to download that but instead go to the next step.
Right click anywhere on the page and select ‘Inspect Element’
Now when the side panel opens you need to tick on the phone/tablet icons marked red.
Next step you need to refresh the page using the refresh icon or press F5 key. The new page that loads will be different. Now you need to close the Inspect Element for page to enlarge to normal size.
Now all you need to do is to select the Windows 10 edition (there is only one option that contains all the editions including home and pro) and language after which you will be taken to the download links for 32 bit and 64 bit windows. Download 32 bit if you have less than 2GB of RAM otherwise download 64 bit. The download begins in your browser or IDM or anyother Download manager you are using. After the download you can easily create your own bootable Windows Installation Media using RUFUS (which we will discuss in another tutorial).
