Huawei’s upcoming smartphone lineup includes the flagship P70 series and the eagerly anticipated Nova 12 series, set to launch in China soon. Recent leaks, courtesy of Digital Chat Station, have provided insights into the specifications of the top-tier model in the Nova 12 series, the Nova 12 Ultra.
According to the leak, the Nova 12 Ultra will feature an OLED display with two small cutouts for front-facing cameras, housing a potent 60MP sensor and a 2x zoom lens. The phone is expected to showcase a super-ceramic glass body on the rear, accommodating a 50MP main camera with a sizable 1/1.55-inch sensor and variable aperture support. Details about the additional camera sensors remain undisclosed.
Under the hood, the Nova 12 Ultra is rumored to be powered by the Kirin 9000 chipset, similar to the one used in Huawei’s recent Mate 60 flagship series. An intriguing feature suggested by the leak is two-way satellite communication support, enabling connectivity in remote areas without cellular coverage.
While specific information about the battery size is yet to be revealed, speculations point to the inclusion of fast 100W charging. Details regarding RAM and storage configurations are currently unclear.
The Nova 12 series is anticipated to include multiple models, with the Nova 12 Ultra positioned as the premium variant. The lineup is rumored to encompass the Nova 12 Lite, Nova 12, and Nova 12 Pro. Although Huawei has not officially disclosed the launch date for the Nova 12 series, the recent leaks suggest a potential unveiling later this month.
